When we hear March 8th, most of us instantly recognize it as ‘International Women’s Day’. But what about November 19th? For many Indians, this date might primarily evoke memories of the heartbreaking 2023 Cricket World Cup final against Australia. While that sporting moment continues to stir emotions even today, there’s another significant observance that often goes unnoticed on this day – International Men’s Day.

This occasion deserves our attention as it serves to recognize and celebrate the positive contributions men make to society while highlighting important issues affecting men and boys worldwide.

The theme for 2024 ‘Positive Male Role Models’ aims to inspire conversations around men’s mental health, acknowledging the pressures they face from societal expectations that can adversely affect their emotional well-being.
